Respiratory Therapist/n/n

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care through intensive respiratory services and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment and devices.

• Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.
• Implement oximetry and capnography monitoring according to policy.
• Assist with respiratory care procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
• Perform arterial punctures and monitor efficiency of ventilation, documenting and reporting results.
• Maintain and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment and assist in its repair.
• Record treatment information and communicate with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficiency.
• Ensure accurate respiratory therapy charging and data entry.
• This position offers a Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts.
• This is a 13-week contract position.
