Veterinary United is a family-owned, independent network of veterinary practices across Michigan. We're looking for a Recruiter – Outreach Coordinator to help us find and connect with the next generation of Doctors of Veterinary Medicine. This role blends traditional recruiting with relationship building and event engagement, making it ideal for someone who thrives on networking, organization, and bringing people together.
You'll spend time both building candidate pipelines for hourly team members (Client Ambassadors, Veterinary Assistants, Animal Care Companions) and connecting with students at universities, colleges, and tech programs. Whether you're setting up at a campus career fair, coordinating a student lunch-and-learn, or guiding a candidate through our hiring process, you'll be representing the welcoming, team-oriented culture that makes Veterinary United unique.
Recruitment & Hiring Doctors of Veterinary Medicine

Support hiring managers with interviews, feedback, and offer logistics
Outreach & Engagement

Coordinate and attend student events, job fairs, and community programs
Build strong relationships with veterinary programs, tech schools, and student organizations
Work closely with site leaders and the recruiting team to anticipate staffing needs
Share ideas for creative sourcing strategies and campus initiatives
Track progress in recruiting dashboards and reports to keep goals on pace
Experience in recruiting, HR, event coordination, or campus outreach preferred
Experience and knowledge in hiring Doctors of Veterinary Medicine is a plus
Willingness to travel across Michigan for career fairs, campus visits, and events
A passion for veterinary medicine and helping people find the right career fit
