Travel Nurse Labor & Delivery RN Day Shift Job

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring labor management and cesarean section circulating experience.

Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required
1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
Required skills in labor management and circulating cesarean sections
Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required
Current NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics required
BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
One professional reference required

Responsibilities Labor & Delivery unit with 18 beds and approximately 54 staff members
Day shift staffed with 1 charge/CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs, and 1 HUC
Night shift staffed with 1 charge/CNC, 8-10 RNs, and 1-2 OB techs
Patient ratios of 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, and recovery patients
2-3 antepartum patients per ratio, following AWHONN guidelines
Uses GE fetal monitoring equipment
Utilizes CPN Meditech EMR
On-call requirement of 1-2 shifts per schedule
May float to Mother Baby unit as a resource when needed
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week assignment length
Perform vaginal deliveries, C-sections, triage, and iron infusions
