A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly desired. Patient population includes individuals of childbearing years, pregnant individuals at 17 weeks gestation, laboring individuals, scheduled procedures such as cesarean sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage procedures. The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-operative assessments, and deliveries (vaginal and cesarean). Common equipment used includes fetal monitors and electronic documentation systems.
