Open Rank Professor of Pathology
The Department of Pathology, at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, seeks applicants for a faculty position in our Anatomical Pathology Division and Dermatopathology Section, open to all ranks. Specialty interest in another area of surgical pathology can be accommodated. Rank and tenure status are dependent on qualifications, experience and scholarly achievement. Complex molecular testing is available: including next generation sequencing, OncoScan chromosomal microarray, and a variety of other techniques. Participation in the teaching of pathology and dermatology residents and fellows is required. Our consultation program has subspecialty interest in cutaneous lymphoma, melanocytic pathology, pediatric dermatopathology, and adnexal tumors. The University of Virginia is located within 85 miles of Washington DC, a setting with natural beauty and significant historical relevance in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
