In this role, you will use your expertise to troubleshoot, repair and maintain motors, starters, frequency drives, switch gear/distribution equipment, work with cabling and lighting systems. A Colorado Journeymen Electrician’s LicenseA High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)Ability to collaborate with different groups and functions to ensure a safe and reliable workplaceA willingness to continually learn and improveA diversity mindset, coupled with a strong work-ethicDedication to the environment, as well as safe work practicesResponsibilities:Isolate and energize electrical equipment above 480 VACAddress temporary power needs when requiredWork effectively even when obstacles prevent planned work from being conductedDemonstrate standard methods and processes to complete workAsk for input from others and incorporate their ideas into your decisionsTake conclusive action when a quick response is imperative, or under conditions of uncertaintyLocation and other Key Details:You will work out of our Commerce City refinery, located at 5801 Brighton Blvd.Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday OR 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday, depending on business needsPaid overtime, often 100-600+ hours per year based on plant needsYou will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spacesThis position is safety sensitiveIn alignment with Suncor’s value of Safety Above All Else, we conduct pre-employment drug testing, employment verification, education verification, background checks, and other pre-employment assessments as a condition of employmentHourly Rate and Compensation Details:This is a union represented position under USW 12-477$55.16 per hour with annual increasesCompetitive and flexible employee benefits package that can be adjusted to suit the changing needs of your life, including: 3 medical options (including HSA and FSA options), 2 dental options, vision coverage, and an Employee Assistance PlanExcellent 401(k) plan with up to a 6% vested matchSuncor-funded Cash Balance defined benefit pension plan (vests in 3 years)Relocation support will be providedThink we are a fit?
