Phlebotomist - Full Time/Part Time (Some Evenings and Weekends)

Phlebotomist I - Taylor, MI
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with rotational weekends.

Shift Differential: 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift, 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.

Administer oral solutions according to established training.

Research test/client information and confirm/verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.

Navigate a computer and accurately enter data - a requirement for success in this role.

Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.

Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order.

Perform all non‑patient facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email as appropriate.

Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.

Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data when required.

Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, based on frequency (maintenance logs, temperature logs).

Complete online and in‑person training courses timely.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience: One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.

Ability to effectively communicate in English.
