This is an opportunity for a creative, hands‑on videographer and multimedia storyteller who enjoys taking ideas from concept through final production.

You'll play a key role in bringing Deployable Energy's story to life through video, photography, interviews, social content, and other visual media. You'll work directly with company leadership, technical teams, and the broader communications function to translate complex technical and operational work into compelling visual stories.

We're looking for someone who can recognize a story, develop the creative concept, capture it, and turn it into polished content.

The role offers significant creative ownership and visibility, with the opportunity to document and shape the story of a growing company during an exciting stage of development.

Develop, shoot, and edit video content across digital and external communications
Produce short‑form and long‑form content for social media, web, presentations, events, recruiting, and company storytelling
Translate complex technical concepts into accessible and engaging visual stories
Own projects from concept and storyboarding through filming, editing, sound, graphics, and final delivery
Capture high‑quality photography alongside video when needed
Develop creative concepts that strengthen Deployable Energy's visual identity and brand
Create content optimized for different platforms and audiences
Maintain and organize video, photography, and multimedia assets
Track audience engagement and use performance insights to improve future content

Love turning complex ideas into simple, compelling visual stories
Move comfortably between creative thinking and hands‑on production
Prefer ownership and autonomy over highly structured production environments
Can produce excellent work without requiring a large production crew
Are energized by building something rather than simply maintaining it

One week might involve filming an executive interview, documenting technical work, producing short‑form social content, developing a larger company story, photographing an event, or creating multimedia assets for an important presentation.

Produce professional‑quality video independently
Understand pacing, composition, lighting, audio, and visual storytelling
Create both polished corporate content and engaging social‑first content
Adapt one story effectively across multiple platforms and formats
Manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality
Experiment creatively while maintaining a consistent brand

Video editing and post‑production

Event coverage

Candidates should be prepared to discuss the challenge, their specific contribution, the equipment and production approach used, their creative decisions, the intended audience, and the impact of the finished work.

Digital and social media fluency
Brand awareness
Experience producing content within energy, engineering, technology, aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, science, or another highly technical environment is valuable, but the ability to understand unfamiliar subjects quickly and tell a great story is more important than having worked in one specific industry.

This role is for a visual storyteller and creative builder who can pick up a camera, walk into a complex technical environment, find the story, and turn it into content people actually want to watch.
