Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Every third weekend required | Holiday coverage includes Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown unit setting
Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
Document patient assessments, care delivered, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure eligibility
Current BLS certification required
Prior experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit setting
Ability to work every third weekend as part of the regular schedule
Availability for assigned holiday shifts including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification preferred
Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced environment
