Registered Nurse – Free-Standing Emergency Room (FSED)Location: Lake Jackson, Tallahassee, FLShifts Available: Days, Nights, and MidsJob Type: Full TimePosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Emergency Room RN to join the team at a Free-Standing Emergency Department. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident in their clinical decision-making, multitasking, and critical thinking skills. You will care for patients of all ages with conditions ranging from minor injuries to acute or critical emergencies.Key Responsibilities:Triage, assess, and provide care for patients of all age groupsDevelop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical assessmentsCoordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective careEducate patients and families on follow-up care and discharge instructionsPrioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously in a high-acuity settingParticipate in patient safety and quality improvement initiativesMaintain clear, accurate documentation of patient care and treatment outcomesQualifications:Required: Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in an acute care settingLicensure: Active Florida RN license or multi-state compact license (or ability to obtain prior to start)Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferredCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) – required before start dateAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 90 days of hirePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – within 90 days of hireNonviolent Crisis Intervention – within 90 days of hire
