Responsibilities

• Provide registered nurse care in labor and delivery, postpartum, couplet care, newborn nursery, and OBGYN post-operative units as assigned
• Monitor labor progression and fetal status, perform assessments, administer medications as ordered, and document findings per unit protocols
• Support maternal and newborn stabilization, assist with routine postpartum care, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and family education
• Collaborate with obstetric teams to coordinate care, ensure patient safety, and maintain infection control and quality standards
• Respond to clinical changes and emergencies per pathway protocols; assist with post-operative care and transitions of care

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
• Ability to work nights (7p–7a) and to travel as a traveler; must be at least 45 miles from the assigned site with mileage documented on submission
• On-site drug screen; DS required as part of compliance items
