About the Role:
The Cashier plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience for customers, directly impacting overall customer satisfaction and store performance. Minimum Qualifications:
Must Have Food Handler Permit

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in cashiering or retail customer service.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods.
Capability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash registers.
Strong communication skills and phone etiquette.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
Prior experience performing janitorial or store maintenance duties.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Operate the cash register efficiently to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately.
Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment while ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
Perform janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding store environment.
Assist with lifting and carrying heavy items as needed to support stock replenishment and store operations.
Manage phone etiquette by answering calls professionally and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet store operational needs.
