Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: CVICU\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 18 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 18 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital position requiring critical care and prior travel experience.Details\n \n Cardiac ICU setting caring for overflow patients from MICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU with a focus on cardiology\n 23 staffed beds on the unit\n 1:2 patient ratio\n Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30)\n Every other weekend required, with flexibility for unit needs expected\n Floating to other ICUs and boarder areas should be expected\n No on-call requirements\n Epic charting system required\n Requirements\n \n Active WA state or compact RN license required\n BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred\n Minimum 2 years critical care experience required\n Prior travel nursing experience required\n Level I Trauma facility experience required\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Epic charting experience required\n 2 professional references required, preferably from direct supervisors\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing to cardiac ICU patients, including management of ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and vasoactive drips\n Cardiovascular skills such as ECMO, IABP, Impella, and Swan Ganz monitoring are preferred\n Experience with neurological care including EVD and ICP monitoring is preferred\n Magnet-designated, teaching, Level I Trauma facility\n Preference given to candidates with high-volume, high-acuity, teaching, and trauma facility experience\n Manager prefers to avoid placing travel pairs on the unit\n Scrubs must be blue, facility-provided or solid color of your own\n RTO limited to no more than 6 days, with minimal RTO accommodated during the first 2 weeks\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate\n Prior facility staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler\n COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753170.
