Utility Maintenance Electrician

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about electrical systems, capable of troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues, and committed to ensuring safety standards are met. The electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in various settings.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety codes.
Diagnose and repair electrical problems in wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure functionality and prevent malfunctions.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices.
Provide guidance and training to apprentices and other junior electricians as needed.
Ability to understand customers needs and design build to meet those requests
Knowledgeable in and the ability to procure material.
Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills through training and professional development.
Additional certifications or specialized training in specific areas of electrical work, such as HVAC systems or renewable energy.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
Valid electrician license or certification in accordance with state and local regulations.
