Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Level IV trauma center and primary stroke center with chest pain accreditation (24/7 PCI/STEMI capability)
• 23-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Staffing includes all RN nursing staff with techs at the lobby and secretary support
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Works 7P-7A shift on a 13-week assignment with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

Active Texas RN license required (temporary license not accepted)

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS

Meditech experience preferred

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care for standard ED procedures within a Level IV trauma and primary stroke center

Scrub color for RNs is royal blue

Must adhere to facility grooming standards including hair, nails, tattoos, and piercings policies

Shoes must be non-absorbent with slip-resistant soles; breathable mesh athletic shoes without leather or man-made uppers are not permitted

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
