WAREHOUSE INVENTORY PERSON

Warehouse Administrator / Hilo Driver
Shift: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri (1 hour lunch daily)
Position SummaryA growing, stable, family-oriented company in Canton, Michigan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator / Hilo Driver to join our team. This position combines warehouse administration, inventory management, customer service, shipping coordination, and forklift operation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.Process customer orders and generate all related shipping and receiving documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems.
Verify order accuracy and review special customer requests.
Process and maintain paperwork related to receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities.
Prepare reports regarding inventory, order status, and warehouse operations.
Customer & Vendor Support
Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers via phone, email, and in person.
Provide shipment updates, order tracking information, and inventory status reports.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to orders, inventory, and deliveries.
Notify management of customer-requested changes regarding shipping, handling, or administrative requirements.
Shipping & Logistics
Coordinate routine and expedited shipments with transportation providers.
Manage last-minute shipping requests and prioritize urgent customer needs.
Track shipments and communicate delivery status updates to customers.
Assist with product routing and logistics planning.
Warehouse Operations
Operate a forklift (Hilo) to move, stage, load, and unload materials as needed.
Support receiving, warehousing, order picking, and material handling activities.
Assist with additional warehouse and administrative duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of six months of warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or administrative experience preferred.
Previous forklift (Hilo) experience preferred.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 systems is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
