WAREHOUSE INVENTORY PERSON

Summary: Receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reads production schedule, customer, work and shipping orders as well as requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
Check in materials from suppliers
Supply cutting department with material requests
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed and maintains inventory records
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing and shipping station(s)
Ensures load and all items being shipped are properly strapped and secured
Loads and unloads truck which includes the use of a pallet jack and / or lift truck
Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments
Prepares parcels for mailing
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1+ years related experience and/or training

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid driver's license, CDL Class B license, and a Forklift license will need to be obtained.
