CPA/Senior Tax Preparer

Overview The role is a Senior Tax Associate based in Shaker Hights, OH, reporting to a Tax Manager.

Focus on high‑net‑worth individuals, fiduciary tax, not‑for‑profit compliance, and entity tax filings.

Process data and convert it into a reviewable product.

Assist in researching complex tax issues and developing practical income‑tax planning services.

Work within a small team to deliver integrated family office services.

Aide in the preparation of time‑sensitive client requests and planning opportunities.

Facilitate communication and provide assistance to team members, sharing knowledge for professional development.

Contribute to a flexible, stable, and team‑oriented culture that fosters professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

4‑6 years of related work experience in a tax or family office practice, with emphasis on individual and fiduciary experience.

Competencies in pass‑through, gift tax, or not‑for‑profit.

Commitment to learning and developing in an exacting tax environment within a growth business.

Proficiency in compliance technology applications including ProSystems, BNA Income Tax Planner, and Microsoft products.

Preferred: MBA or MS in Taxation, CPA or CPA exam parts passed.

Knowledge of CCH Engagement, CCH Axcess Tax, and BNA Income Tax Planner.

Physical Requirements Work in an office environment, including prolonged sitting at a desk and computer use.

Eligibility Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older.
