Lead sophisticated federal and California tax controversy matters.
Represent clients before the IRS, FTB, CDTFA, and other taxing authorities.
Manage audits, examinations, administrative appeals, and tax litigation matters.
Handle collections matters including Offers in Compromise, installment agreements, and Collection Due Process hearings.
Advise clients on tax planning, business structuring, entity formation, and complex transactions.
Develop legal strategies for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
Draft legal memoranda, settlement proposals, pleadings, and client communications.
Serve as the primary advisor for client relationships and strategic planning.
Mentor and develop junior attorneys while collaborating with firm leadership.

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.6+ years of tax law experience.
• Extensive experience handling federal and/or state tax controversy matters.
• Strong background in tax planning and client counseling.
• Excellent legal writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to independently manage sophisticated tax matters.
• You'll work directly with sophisticated clients, handle challenging legal matters, mentor developing attorneys, and enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to build a rewarding practice while making a meaningful impact.
