Front of House Restaurant Server (Runner)

Job Description
The Server Assistant position’s primary responsibility is to assist with the needs of the servers and bartenders. This candidate must be highly motivated, energetic, and possess great communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

Display a congenial appearance and be well‑groomed at all times.

Handle a fast‑paced work environment and be detail‑oriented.

Ensure all setups are ready for service according to standards.

Assist colleagues in completing pre‑shift duties, including polishing all serving trays, setting up the bar area, polishing buckets, and performing additional side duties as outlined in the pre‑shift duties list.

Assist staff in delivering a flawless dining experience, consistently providing exceptional food, superlative service, elegant décor, and exquisite presentations.

Uphold service standards and support the team consistently.

Facilitate communication between the kitchen and front‑of‑house staff.

Expedite completed dishes to the service area, provide table maintenance to servers, and assist bartenders with set‑up, glass polishing, and bar restocking.

Assist colleagues in breaking down and cleaning service areas; including cleaning coffee and espresso service, placing all service items in storage, cleaning and storing service trays, and keeping the bar area neat for the next day’s service.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a similar restaurant environment preferred.

Food Handlers Card required.

RBS Certification required.

High School graduate.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.

Knowledge of restaurant operations and facilities.

Superior guest service abilities and a complete understanding of California serving guidelines.

Rate of Pay: $17.75/hour USD.
