The Paralegal Assistant plays a crucial role within a small legal team, supporting attorneys and lead paralegals by performing a range of administrative and legal tasks. This position involves conducting legal research, preparing documents, managing case files, and maintaining effective communication with clients. The role occasionally requires travel and attendance at court appearances to assist with case proceedings.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research to support case preparation
Prepare and manage legal documents accurately and efficiently
Organize and maintain case files and records
Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information
Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings
Assist with filing and document organization
Maintain detailed records and case notes
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in legal assistance
Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
Proficiency in legal research, document management, and case management
Strong legal writing skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Effective time management skills
