Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Local candidates will be considered at the same rate. Up to 2 major holidays can be requested off. This unit requires travelers to work only 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year's Eve. Candidates who have been permanent employees of any other facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. The unit has 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms. Responsibilities include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, and scrub duties, focusing on low-risk antepartum and low-risk labor delivery. Travelers will attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and assist with GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery. Traveler responsibilities may include floating to postpartum and potentially other units based on skill set. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Providers must have experience in administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and pain assessment and management. Completion will be recorded in training transcripts.
