Material Handler – Shipping & ReceivingAs the Material Handler – Shipping & Receiving for Storyteller Overland, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials while ensuring accurate shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse logistics, inventory control, and material handling, with a strong commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and workplace safety.General Responsibilities:Oversee the receipt, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders,Manage the preparation and execution of outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and documentation,Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to efficiently move goods throughout the warehouse,Maintain accurate inventory records and track material movement using warehouse management systems,Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, company policies, and safety procedures,Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and availability,Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to optimize shipping schedules and deliveries,Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free shipping and receiving area,Assist in warehouse organization, material staging, and overall logistics coordination,Collaborate cross-functionally to contribute to the overall success of the Performance & Accessories division, fostering a culture of teamwork, transparency, and mutual support through proactive cooperation and camaraderie,Perform other duties as required to support warehouse operations and efficiency.Work Schedule:Fixed or Compressed: Will discuss work schedule details in person.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GEDMust possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company standardsPrevious experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferably in the automotive industryStrong organizational and time management skillsProven track record of working in a fast-paced position that requires high levels of attention to detailForklift certification or ability to become certified within 30 days of hireFamiliarity with NetSuite is a plusScore Card:Core Competencies - Inventory Management, Shipping & Receiving Operations, Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Operation, Attention to Detail, Safety & Compliance, Problem Solving, Time Management, Teamwork, and Communication.Position Mission - The mission of the Material Handler for Shipping & Receiving ensures the efficient and effective movement of goods through the supply chain by handling receipt, storage, and shipment of materials to retail & wholesale customers.
