Patriot Erectors is a full‑service, AISC Certified Steel Fabricator and AISC Advanced Steel Erector. Founded in 1991, the company is located just west of Austin, Texas, with a modern 60,000‑square‑foot fabrication facility. The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

Use pre‑nested cut cards and other documentation to convert raw shape steel into semi‑finished parts for fabrication. Verify the cut card information prior to cutting - types, sizes, weights, cut lengths, and heat numbers.

Verify that the material is correct prior to cutting.

Work off pre‑nested cut sheets.

Match nested cut sheet descriptions and lengths with material; Use manual or CNC measuring to measure material being cut.

Properly stack material safely and stage pre‑jobs.

Understand, interpret and edit G‑code programming.

Ensure inserts are in working condition and material cutting square.

Mark up drops and return to stock.

Load/unload the machine with an overhead crane.

Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.

Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.

Know the difference in material types (WF, TS, CH, L).

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

12+ months running a CNC machine (e.g., Experience in overhead crane operation is helpful.
