Barista and Cashier (Full Time)

FULL-TIME DAYS

The Cashier performs cash handling functions and serves customers in cafeteria and/or coffee shop. Builds positive customer satisfaction. Promotes customer service and building rapport with customers in cafeteria/coffee shop

Sets up cafeteria/coffee shop for service

Stocks cafeteria/coffee shop to maintain appropriate inventory levels

Operates cash register in cafeteria/coffee shop

Checks all transactions/food orders (content and portion size)

Maintains cleanliness of cafeteria/coffee shop

Performs cash close out procedures always following established procedures

Assures timely service in cafeteria/coffee shop

Chops, slices, peels food items for special order foods

Adheres to all BHS safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards

Assures all foods are correctly label/dated/rotated when handled and put away

Transports food to other areas as needed

Operates, cleans, sanitizes dishes and necessary equipment

Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations

Participates in Performance Improvement activities

Able to read, write and understand the English language.

High School Graduate or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year's food and/or customer service experience

Previous cashier and customer service experience

ANSI Accredited Texas Food Handler or ANSI Accredited Food Manager course or Certified Food Manager from the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District
