Job Description

Position Title: Industrial Painter

Wage: $16.75/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday + Saturday OT

QPS Employment Group is hiring an Industrial Painter for a company in Allison, IA. The ideal candidate must have a driver's license and insurance, as they will travel with their own vehicle. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.

Industrial Painter Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Measure and mix paints using measurement equipment such as viscosity cups, thickness gauges, and gloss gauges
• Use knowledge of paint chemistry to ensure correct formulation and consistency for each job
• Apply paint using appropriate tools and techniques, including spray equipment, rollers, and brushes
• Work with primers, pre-finishes, and finishing coats to achieve the desired surface quality
• Use specialized protective equipment, such as self-contained suits, as required for hazardous materials
• Safely clean and maintain work areas after painting operations
• Follow all guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste
• Maintain compliance with company and regulatory safety standards

Industrial Painter Requirements:

• Knowledge of paint chemistry and industrial coatings
• Experience using spray equipment, rollers, and brushes
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines
• Attention to detail and quality-conscious approach
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
• Use hands and arms to handle paint equipment and tools frequently
• Perform repetitive motions such as spraying, rolling, or brushing
• Lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds as needed
• Work in various positions, including stooping, bending, and reaching
• Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods
• Use of protective suits, gloves, respirators, and safety glasses as required
• Adhere to all company and regulatory safety guidelines for handling paints and chemicals
