As a Sorter at RWB Thrift, you play a crucial role in the initial sorting and categorization of donated items. Your responsibilities include efficiently processing incoming donations, sorting items into designated categories such as clothing, textiles, accessories, household goods, and electronics. You will ensure that items meet quality standards and are prepared for further processing or distribution to various departments within the thrift store. Pay Range: $15.25 to $17.25 per hour

Inspect items for quality, cleanliness, and suitability for sale

Maintain cleanliness and organization in sorting areas and workstations

Assist in other tasks within the sorting and processing areas as needed

Previous experience in sorting, warehouse, or retail environment preferred

Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Capable of safely and effectively performing essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity requirements.

Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, as well as maintaining balance when performing agile tasks.

Visual Acuity: Noise Level: The work environment is noisy due to the bustling activity on the sales floor and the production area. Due to the nature of our operations, the ability to work effectively in a noisy environment is a requirement for this role.
