Our hospital is a full‑service small animal hospital, open Mon‑Fri 8am‑5pm, so no weekend or evening coverage needed!

We have a tenured Hospital Manager, with experienced support staff and a 2:1 Tech to DVM ratio.

Spinnaker is stocked with high‑quality diagnostic equipment, including an in‑house lab, surgical suite, ultrasound, digital radiography with board certified reports, and digital dental radiography.

We have a dedicated surgical suite, and 3 spacious exam rooms.

Our doctors have various areas of interest in veterinary medicine, including dermatology, dentistry, preventative medicine, and behavior and would be happy to collaborate on cases with you and share their experiences.

Our hospital is located in Somerset, MA, which is located along the Taunton River in Bristol county. This area offers endless beaches, parks, and water sports.

Somerset Creamery is just across the street , and Auclair’s Market is right behind the clinic . Coffee runs, quick lunches, or an ice cream treat after work? Compensation for Part Time roles is prorated based on experience and hours/shifts worked. Salary ranges listed in this posting reflect full‑time roles.

Licensing and dues reimbursement

Emotional wellbeing support, including Calm app access and 24/7 EAP

Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups

Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery

Maintaining accurate medical records

Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations

Evaluate and monitor protocols for the daily running of the hospital from intake to discharge

Monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds when possible to be sure the highest standards are being upheld

Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels

Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university

Current State Veterinary License

DEA registration must be obtained and maintained

1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice

Excellent surgical and dental skills.

Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care.

Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.

Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.

Clinical Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals. Perform cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological and other necessary examinations. Ability to develop solutions to challenges relating to the management of a high‑quality veterinary hospital.

Display effective communication with internal medical and hospital staff.

Professionalism: Work as part of a high‑quality, professional veterinary team with the ability to provide and receive appropriate constructive criticism, suggestions, and feedback.

Business Acumen: Ability to understand the management and finances of the veterinary hospital practice.
