Job Description Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes patients during transport under the direction of the medical director and EMS protocols.
Provides direct medical care to patients during transport consistent with established EMS medical protocols and guidelines.
Establishes and manages advanced airways via intubation, Laryngeal mask airway (LMA), and/or cricothyrotomy as approved by EMS medical protocols.
Administers approved medications and narcotics consistent with EMS medical protocols.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions [Required]
Ability to identify and treat life threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice [Required]
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
Work Experience 1+ experience emergency vehicle operations [Preferred]
Ambulance transport experience [Preferred]
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) [Required]
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) [Required]
OR Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) [Required]
