HR ManagerHR Manager of Commercial & Industrial Mechanical Contractor, overseeing a mixed union/non-union workforce across multiple regional offices.ResponsibilitiesDirect HR operations for both administrative staff and unionized trade employees across several facility locationsManage day-to-day HR needs within a mixed union and non-union workforce, ensuring consistent policy application across both groupsRun recruiting and onboarding for corporate and field-based rolesManage benefits enrollment, leave tracking, and workers' compensation claimsMaintain compliance with wage and hour law, prevailing wage rules, and certified payroll reportingTrack HR data and reporting through construction-industry payroll/HR software and MS OfficeCoordinate with operations leadership on staffing levels and workforce planningOversee disciplinary procedures, performance reviews, and policy enforcementDraft and revise HR policies and the employee handbookRequirementsBachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred; PHR/SHRM-CP a plus5-7 years in HR management, preferably within construction, mechanical contracting, or a comparable trade environment with a mixed union/non-union workforceExperience navigating HR practices across both union and non-union employee groupsMS Office proficiency; familiarity with construction accounting/HR platforms such as Foundations preferredWorking knowledge of employment law, wage/hour compliance, and benefits administrationAbility to operate across both office and field/craft settingsSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
