Psychiatrist Opportunity At Mercy Medical Center

Prime Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Behavioral Health team at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois.

Primarily inpatient focus with opportunities in our dedicated 95-bed acute mental health unit within a 292-bed acute care hospital. Scope: Deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to adults, including diagnostic evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team (nurses, therapists, social workers, and advanced practice providers).

Flexible schedule with a mix of inpatient rounding and consultations, 36 patient-facing hours a week.

Robust administrative and clinical infrastructure in a physician-friendly, mission-driven environment backed by the Prime Healthcare network.

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)

Current Illinois medical license (or eligibility to obtain)

Valid DEA registration

Strong clinical skills in adult inpatient psychiatry preferred

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a passion for patient-centered behavioral health care
