HR/Recruiting Generalist

Do you enjoy putting the human into human resources? We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist who will balance the well being of the City with the well being of our employees. A Generalist who will make our new hires feel welcome and ready to join the team, while having a profoundly positive impact on our current employees. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**We are looking for a Generalist who can handle a wide range of responsibilities throughout the life cycle of our employees by:* Recruiting* Interviewing* Extending job offers* Onboarding and new hire orientation* Education on workplace practices* Serving as a primary contact for designated departments* Reviewing compensation requests and making recommendations* Administering Civil Service and promotional exams* Investigations into employee concerns* Exit interviews and other duties**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; two (2) years professional experience working in Human Resources; professional human resources certification preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENT**Primary work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. May be required to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, as necessary.
