Overview
Texas Oncology is hiring an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Infusion Department at Dallas Medical City. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am‑5 pm) with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Responsibilities
Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
Asses patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
Administer all medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique.
Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
Facilitate dose modification by assessing patients, reviewing labs, consulting protocols or treatment plans, calculating dose adjustments, and consulting physicians.
Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications
Level I:
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
Registered Nurse (RN) state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Maintain continuing education requirements.
Entry‑level (0‑3 years) nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level II:
Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level Senior:
Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
Oncology certification preferred.
Working Conditions
The work environment is typical of an oncology/hematology clinic, with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other hazardous conditions. Physical Requirements
Must have full range of body motion, handle and lift patients, possess manual and finger dexterity, and maintain eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 40 lb. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
