Description
American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool ICU RN for night shifts requiring 3 years of ICU experience and flexibility to float across multiple critical care units.
Details

• Float pool position covering multiple ICU and IMC units including MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CTICU, and CICU
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 75% weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in IMC
• Cares for basic ICU patients including sedated, intubated, and pressor-dependent patients (excludes high complexity cases such as CRRT)
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
• 3 years of ICU experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required
• BLS and relevant AHA certifications required (non-AHA certifications accepted at submission but AHA must be completed prior to start)
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

Float pool role requiring flexibility to work in multiple ICU departments, potentially across several assignments within the same shift
Floating may occur within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local
Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract
Dress code requires non-specific scrub colors; open-toed shoes, crocs, jeans, large logos, and profanity are not permitted
Focus on outstanding patient care, strong team communication, and adaptability across varying unit assignments
First-time travelers may be considered
