Registered Nurse (RN)
The Registered Nurse in the PCU Float Pool is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across various units within the organization. This role requires adaptability to provide nursing support in multiple hospital settings as needed, with no commute required as the alternate locations are within walking distance.
Job Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, demonstrating expertise in patient assessment and clinical interventions.
Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to monitor patient conditions and respond effectively to changes.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with PCU or critical care experience preferred.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
Experience with IV starts and telemetry required.
Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly EPIC.
Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed, including potential assignments at affiliated locations within a short walking distance.
Availability to work weekends and nights as per schedule requirements.
