Weekend Welder Fabrication

Seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at the Hughson, California, location. This mid-level role involves applying both basic and advanced welding skills under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in stainless TIG welding, blueprint reading, and operating welding and material handling equipment. This is a 6-month temp-to-hire position, requiring availability for additional hours and weekends as needed. Must-Haves: TIG + MIG welding. Manufacturing environment background (no construction/pipefitting, no pipefitters at all). Nice-to-Have: Broader fabrication experience. Interpret blueprints and job orders to plan and execute welding tasks.
Perform welding on materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
Set up and safely operate welding equipment according to safety guidelines.
Grind and finish welds to meet aesthetic and quality standards.
Deburr metal parts using powered and non-powered tools.
Perform daily housekeeping (5S) and preventative maintenance tasks.
Participate in safety meetings, safety programs, and quality processes.
Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and man lifts, safely.

Vocational certificate in welding or related field Experience with man lifts Painting metal products

Minimum 5 years of welding experience, preferably with stainless TIG welding skills.
Strong attention to detail with a high focus on safety and quality standards.
Ability to safely operate welding equipment, torch, plasma cutter, grinder, and 6,000 lb. forklift.
Must pass welding skills and application test.
Willingness to work additional hours and weekends to meet business needs.
Must be able to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds frequently.
Must be eligible to work as a 1099 contractor (no W2 hourly candidates).
