This unit is a 32‑station outpatient dialysis unit providing outpatient dialysis 6 days per week. Outpatient dialysis services provide the care and treatment of patients with End Stage Renal Disease. The interdisciplinary team consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, Masters‑Prepared Social Workers and Licensed Dietitians. The facility also has a home dialysis program offering peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis training and monitoring.

Dialysis is a specialty where the learning never stops! Outpatient dialysis is open Monday through Saturday from 5am to 6pm. New grads and experienced nurses welcome!

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to dialysis patients. The RN coordinates care, performs patient assessment, patient education, and various other nursing interventions. The RN collaborates with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate dialysis care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned dialysis clinical setting. The RN functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. The RN documents patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The RN utilizes technology to enhance quality patient care, collaborates with physicians and inter‑professional team members, effectively delegates to and supervises unlicensed personnel, and assumes overall nursing accountability for patient care.

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, AACN, ACEN, and NLN CNEA.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
