Horizon Surgery Center South located on the Baptist Medical Center South campus is an ambulatory surgery center in Jacksonville, Florida, focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care. This center provides Orthopedics, ENT, Plastics and Urology surgeries and procedures. The center is proudly partnered with Compass Surgical Partners, a national leader in developing and managing surgery centers across the U.Through this partnership, Horizon combines the strengths of a locally focused clinical team with the operational support and innovation of Compass. The Operating Room RN provides direct patient care and serves as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process. This role supports surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity before, during, and after surgery.

Hours: Monday–Friday, per diem schedule (6/6:30am start time). No nights, weekends, holidays, or call.

Serve as circulating nurse, supporting patients, surgeons, and anesthesia staff during procedures

Ensure patient safety and compliance with aseptic and surgical standards

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team

Participate in quality improvement, safety, and professional development activities

Assist with orientation and training of new team members

Maintain accurate documentation and respond appropriately to patient and physician needs

Current RN license

Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows environment)

No nights, weekends, holidays, or call

Competitive hourly rate

Compensation: The actual hourly rate offered will be based on experience, education, and relevant background.
