Pharmacist - Pharmacy - Evening

This opportunity is for a skilled Staff Pharmacist to support a busy pharmacy environment in Vineland, NJ. The role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care on a contract basis with an immediate start. This assignment lasts approximately 8 weeks with a dynamic schedule featuring day shifts, some evenings, and rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications while maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of overuse.
Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate for patients' conditions.
Maintain secure, confidential records of patient information and pharmacy files.
Offer thorough consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, including proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation guidance, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
Educate patients on correct use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
Compound medications for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions following strict protocols.
Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Manage inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies efficiently.
Identify and resolve drug-related problems in coordination with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
Active pharmacy license in New Jersey.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and patient care standards.
Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
