Head of Accounting (Remote)

Accounting Operations Manager Salary: $150,000 - $200,000+ (flexible for top candidates)

Bonus: Negotiable

Fully Remote (must be based in the Indianapolis area)

Our client is a growing, investment-focused organization with a multi-entity / family office-style structure

• This is a highly visible role with full ownership over the accounting operations and infrastructure
• Fully remote position with only a few in-person meetings required per year
• Opportunity to build, enhance, and scale accounting processes from the ground up
• Significant exposure to private investments and complex financial structures
• Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Operations Manager:
• Oversee financial recordkeeping and reporting across multiple entities
• Manage tax compliance and coordinate with external tax and advisory partners
• Support investment reporting using data from third-party investment advisors
• Monitor private investment activity and maintain detailed schedules
• Handle cash management and bill pay functions
• Continuously improve processes and build scalable accounting infrastructure

Qualifications for the Accounting Operations Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 8+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in a multi-entity, small business, or family office environment
• Proven track record of implementing internal controls and process improvements
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred
