Job Description Minnesota-Licensed Family Law Attorney (Remote)

Atticus Family Law is growing, and we’re looking for a Minnesota-licensed attorney who wants the independence to manage their cases without being left to manage everything that comes with them.

This is a fully remote position backed by experienced paralegals, legal assistants, established processes, and a team that actually works like a team. You’ll focus on guiding clients, developing case strategy, negotiating resolutions, and advocating for your clients while having the support and resources to do the work well.

We’re looking for an attorney who cares about the quality of their work, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and believes collaboration makes everyone better at what they do.

While your day-to-day work will be remote, Minnesota court appearances, mediations, and occasional in-person client meetings are part of the role.

If you want the flexibility of remote practice without feeling like you’re running a solo practice from your home office, we should talk.

Manage Minnesota family law matters from initial strategy through resolution, with a team and established systems behind you.

Advocate for your clients. Build strong legal positions. Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, settlement documents, and other written advocacy with purpose and attention to detail.

Help clients understand their options, set realistic expectations, and make informed decisions during an often difficult time.

Work as part of a legal team. Partner with paralegals and legal assistants, delegate effectively, communicate clearly, and use the resources around you.

Minnesota family law experience. You’re licensed and in good standing with the Minnesota Bar and have at least two years of experience practicing family law in Minnesota.

You can explain complicated legal issues in a way clients understand and communicate effectively in writing, in court, and with opposing counsel.

You understand that excellent representation includes both strong legal work and helping clients feel informed, prepared, and supported throughout their case.
