Remote Statistician

Role Overview Apply statistical expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world data analysis, feedback, and dataset improvements. This remote contract role focuses on advancing data-driven solutions; prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Clean, preprocess, and structure complex, messy datasets using tools such as R, Python, SAS, or Stata.
Apply and document descriptive and inferential analyses, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis, to identify trends and patterns in real-world data.
Create clear visualizations that communicate key findings and support model development.
Annotate, label, or enrich datasets to improve AI training-data quality.
Write concise, organized summaries of methods, analyses, and results for non-technical audiences.
Collaborate asynchronously with project stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and improve deliverables through written and verbal communication.
Identify data-quality issues, recommend practical solutions, and document approaches for incomplete or dirty data.
Qualifications
Advanced degree, MS or PhD, in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience cleaning and preparing complex, messy data with R, Python, SAS, or Stata.
Proficiency in descriptive and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
Strong Python or R programming skills for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualization.
Ability to explain complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working with large, unstructured, or noisy datasets across varied domains.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including detailed documentation and remote collaboration.
Work Terms
~ Remote contract engagement.

Compensation
~$60 to $120 per hour.
