Head of Project Management

As a member of the Information Services Department, the IS Project Manager will manage and execute technology projects to improve business results and client experience. The IS Project Manager is responsible for coordinating across the overall program, scope, risk and schedule management and troubleshooting.

Essential Functions Work with business teams to complete project intake, define project scope and objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Manage projects, develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor performance deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.

Effectively communicate your project plans to cross-functional team members and management.

Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to make necessary project adjustments and produce useful visuals and reports when necessary.

Identify and resolve issues in project plans and schedules.

Communicate project status consistently (weekly/bi-weekly as appropriate) with project team and stakeholders enabling informed decision-making.

Report and elevate issues to management as needed.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Manage multiple projects at once.

Additional Functions Special Projects, as assigned.

Education QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES): Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

5 years of project management experience

Excellent project management and organization skills.

Strong leadership and people skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers and clients.

Experience with both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.

Skill to document complex systems and procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Ability to navigate sometimes ambiguously defined problems, developing creative solutions and delivering meaningful results.

Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
