Full Time/Part Time/ Seasonal Server

Mendocino Railway is the owner/operator of freight and passenger railroads including the California Western Railroad / Skunk Train and the River Fox Train. The River Fox operates between West Sacramento and Woodland along the Sacramento River, its office is located at 18095 CR 117, W. We are a unique entertainment venue looking for outgoing individuals with an aptitude for fun and hard work to join the crew as a Server . This is a part-time position working throughout the week including nights, weekends and holidays.
Servers provide exceptional table-side service and ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience aboard our trains.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to) Greet and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner throughout excursions and events.
Run food and beverages from service areas to guests promptly and accurately.
Assist with setup and teardown of dining areas before and after each event or train ride.
Assist with preparing train cars and stations for themed and special event (e.g., holiday rides, private charters, and seasonal excursions).
Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of train cars and station areas.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Must be 21 years or older to serve alcohol.
1+ years of experience in a customer-facing server role preferablyfood and beverage, bartending, or hospitality.
Tech savvy with ability to easily operate POS and timecard apps.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic food and beverage knowledge (beer, wine, cocktails, and menu familiarity).
Ability to obtain or maintain valid California food handler and alcohol service certifications including RBS, and Food Safety (training provided if necessary).
Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays (including Halloween and Christmas).
Willingness to work both onboard a moving train and at a station or event locations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for extended periods and walk on uneven surfaces (train platforms, gravel, etc.).
