Emergency Room Nurse (RN NIGHT SHIFT) - FULL TIME

Rust Medical Center is seeking a skilled Emergency Room (ER) Nurse to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of ED patients in a fast-paced environment and work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals and make a difference in critical moments.

Emergency Department (ED) nurses play a vital role in providing rapid, high-quality care in critical situations. Triage and assessment Quickly evaluate incoming patients to determine severity of illness or injury and prioritize care accordingly.
Stabilization and emergency interventions Provide immediate treatments such as intravenous (IV) access, airway support (e.g., Medication administration and treatments Administer medications—including IVs, blood products, or prescribed therapies—ensuring correct dosing and timely delivery per physician orders.
gather and interpret results to inform care decisions.
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Work alongside physicians, paramedics, techs, and other specialists to develop care plans, refer patients, and facilitate transfers or admissions.
Documentation and charting Accurately document patient histories, interventions, responses, vital signs, and discharge instructions—maintaining compliance with legal and hospital standards.
Infection control and department upkeep Maintain hygiene standards, properly clean and restock equipment, and ensure a safe environment to minimize infection risks.
Discharge planning and referrals Assist in arranging home care, rehabilitation services, specialist follow-ups, or admissions to psychiatric units as needed.

Associate Degree in Nursing
