Paralegal Full-time Position

We need an experienced Paralegal at the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO), District of Colorado. In this role, you will support Assistant United States Attorneys by conducting research, organizing cases, tracking court deadlines, preparing pleadings, reviewing documents, and preparing exhibits needed to represent the federal government in litigation. This is a full-time opportunity. Reviews and organizes large quantities of emails and other documents.
Creates and uses spreadsheets and databases.
Gathers factual information and material, including agency records, court records, and other public records.
Reads, analyzes, and summarizes court pleadings, court orders, transcripts, files, and other factual materials, and drafts memoranda as needed.
Works with federal agencies to locate and organize information and ensure compliance with court orders.
Performs specialized factual and legal research and writes memoranda.
Provides automated litigation assistance to attorneys for briefs, presentations, and hearings.
Prepares documents, exhibits, charts, and visual materials using various software applications and graphics hardware such as scanners.
Provides technical support, including enlarging charts and photographs, duplicating tapes and videos, and marking exhibits.
Paralegal Certification or Associate’s or Bachelor’s in a related field – strongly preferred
Relevant paralegal work experience.
Strong writing, organizational, and computer skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate Department of Justice security clearance.
Experience reviewing large quantities of documents – strongly preferred

Base Hourly Wage: $31.64 per hour
Health & Welfare (Benefits rate): $5.42 per hour

Relocation will not be offered. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of the time.
