We’re hiring CMM Quality Inspectors for our aerospace precision machining facility in Tempe.
You’ll inspect complex, tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical customers using a Zeiss CMM running Calypso software, along with manual inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment. The role includes first article, in-process, and final inspection, working closely with machinists, programmers, and engineers to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
Experience with other CMM platforms such as PC-DMIS is welcomed—we can train the Zeiss/Calypso specifics for candidates with a strong metrology background.
Work Friday-Sunday and get paid for 40 hours while working 36 .
Work in a clean, precision machining environment producing components for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical industries.
Collaborative quality team: 3.00/hour weekend shift differential
Shift
Weekend Days: Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
CMM Inspection: Run existing inspection programs on Zeiss CMMs using Calypso .
Manual Inspection: Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
First Article Inspection: Perform FAIs and create detailed dimensional inspection reports.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
In-Process & Final Inspection: Verify dimensional compliance throughout production and before shipment.
Help maintain calibrated gauges and metrology equipment.
Inspection Records: Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
Hands-on inspection experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
Experience running existing CMM inspection programs
Experience performing first article inspections
Experience with other CMM software such as PC-DMIS
Light CMM programming experience
Aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or medical manufacturing experience
