As a Cashier at Wayfair, you are the final touchpoint in every customer's shopping journey and play a critical role in creating a seamless, positive, and memorable checkout experience. More than simply processing transactions, you serve as a trusted ambassador for the Wayfair brand by ensuring every customer leaves feeling appreciated, confident in their purchase, and excited to return.

You combine exceptional customer service with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail while confidently navigating our point-of-sale systems. You proactively identify opportunities to enhance the customer's purchase by educating them on available services, including protection plans, assembly options, financing, and other value-added offerings that support their home projects.

You create an efficient and welcoming front-end experience by balancing operational excellence with genuine customer connection. Whether resolving a transaction issue, processing a return, coordinating a pickup, or celebrating a customer's completed purchase, you deliver every interaction with professionalism, warmth, and a solutions-first mindset.

Create a Memorable Final Impression: Deliver friendly, welcoming, and efficient service throughout every transaction while ensuring customers leave with a positive impression of Wayfair.

Own the Checkout Experience: Process purchases, returns, exchanges, gift cards, store credits, and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.

Build Customer Confidence: Answer customer questions regarding purchases, services, promotions, financing, delivery, and store policies with professionalism and accuracy.

Resolve with Care: Handle customer concerns and transaction issues calmly while partnering with leaders when additional support is needed.

Sales & Customer Solutions

Enhance Every Purchase: Confidently recommend protection plans, assembly services, financing, delivery options, and other value-added services that improve the customer's overall experience.

Listen for customer needs and recommend additional products or services that complement their purchase.

Support Customer Projects: Ensure customers understand their available options and leave confident in their buying decisions.

POS & Digital Operations

Leverage Digital Tools: Utilize POS technology, digital lookup tools, Endless Aisle, and internal systems to answer customer questions and complete transactions.

Protect Company Assets: Follow all cash handling procedures, fraud prevention practices, and company policies to safeguard financial accuracy.

Maintain Front-End Standards: Keep checkout areas clean, organized, stocked, and customer-ready throughout the day.

Support Store Operations: Assist with curbside pickup, customer order pickups, returns processing, carry-outs, and front-end recovery as business needs require.

Support fellow associates during peak traffic, assist other departments when needed, and contribute to overall store goals.

Maintain Accuracy: Ensure receipts, documentation, customer information, and transaction records are completed accurately and in accordance with company standards.

Customer Focused: Naturally creates welcoming experiences and builds positive customer relationships through every interaction.

Maintains high levels of accuracy when processing transactions, handling cash, and completing operational tasks.

Sales Mindset: Comfortable recommending value-added services that genuinely benefit customers.

Resolves customer concerns quickly while knowing when to involve leadership.

Digital Fluency: Comfortable navigating multiple technology systems, including POS, payment platforms, and digital customer tools.

Works collaboratively across departments and supports teammates to ensure the entire store operates smoothly.

Operational Discipline: Follows company procedures, cash handling standards, and loss prevention practices with consistency and integrity.

Work near moving mechanical parts - No - Minimal

Experience - 1+ year of experience in retail sales or customer-facing roles
