Service Engineering - Mechanical/Systems Support

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life‑cycle savings. Noblis is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to provide support to various ship programs for the US Navy in the areas of oil pollution abatement in the wastewater code.

You will provide engineering, technical, logistics, and obsolescence support to U.Army, and Foreign Military Sales ships and vessels related to the following systems and equipment: Non‑Oily Wastewater (NOW) systems and equipment support.

The Mechanical Engineer position will design, evaluate, plan, test and operate mechanical equipment and systems for commercial, government, military and/or scientific uses. Creating mechanical designs and drawings

Writing precise calculations

Creating and testing prototypes for functionality

Re‑engineering products when problems are found and recalculating for the return of products to full functionality

Also, this is a long‑term contract.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 3 (three) years of experience in mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing.

US citizen and an active DoD security clearance at SECRET level or the ability to obtain one

Experience with equipment design principles

Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)

Experience reviewing models and drawings for manufacturability of parts

Experience with documentation development including drawings, technical manuals (operation, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair), bill of materials

Shipboard experience Navy or Maritime is a plus

Experience working with detailed specifications under configuration management

Experience working with equipment suppliers and vendors

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on‑call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
