Technical Sales Estimator I

Job Description As a Technical Estimator at Radye you would be responsible for preparing technically accurate, competitive sales quotations for custom designed equipment and industrial engineering solutions. This role works closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management to develop cost estimates and define scope, for contracts prior to finalization.
Evaluating Requests for quote and developing equipment proposals.
Establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers & potential customers. Evaluate customer technical requirements and clearly define the scope of the customer project proposal.
Collaborate as a teammate with the Field Sales Team to acquire missing information.
Assess and qualify customer; technical, financial & emotional motivation prior to sale to ensure a successful partnership.
Maintain communication between the customer and internal staff on orders in progress.
Work with Marketing and Sales to monitor competition, gather current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Participate in select Customer Visits – in areas of expertise to aid Sales staff presenting proposals.

Degree in material science or equivalent work experience in material sciences a plus

• Automation Quotation/Estimation Work Experience a big plus
• Technical, Creative and Detail Oriented
• Skilled in Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
